State Insurance Regulators Kick Off 2024 National Meetings

This March 15–18, the 鶹ԭ (鶹ԭ) will welcome over 2,600 state insurance regulators, industry representatives, and interested parties who have registered to attend the 鶹ԭ’s hybrid Spring National Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona. The event kicks off the organization’s three 2024 national meetings, with the Summer National Meeting taking place in Chicago, Illinois, in August, and the Fall National Meeting occurring in Denver, Colorado, in November.

The meeting follows the February release of the 鶹ԭ’s 2024 Strategic Priorities, focused on five areas of pressing concern to consumers, the insurance sector, and markets: (in alphabetical order) climate risks/natural catastrophes and resilience; insurer financial oversight and transparency; marketing of insurance products; race and insurance, financial inclusion, and protection gaps; and use of artificial intelligence by insurers and cyber risk.

鶹ԭ the 鶹ԭ

As part of our state-based system of insurance regulation in the United States, the 鶹ԭ (鶹ԭ) provides expertise, data, and analysis for insurance commissioners to effectively regulate the industry and protect consumers. The U.S. standard-setting organization is governed by the chief insurance regulators from the 50 states, the District of Columbia and five U.S. territories. Through the 鶹ԭ, state insurance regulators establish standards and best practices, conduct peer reviews, and coordinate regulatory oversight. 鶹ԭ staff supports these efforts and represents the collective views of state regulators domestically and internationally.
