鶹ԭ Fall National Meeting to Highlight Year of Impact

State Insurance Regulators Convene to Focus on Consumer Protections, Risk Mitigation, Emerging Tech

The 鶹ԭ (鶹ԭ) will host its 2025 Fall National Meeting on Dec. 8–11 in Hollywood, Florida. The hybrid event will convene chief insurance regulators; industry stakeholders; state, federal, and international officials; interested parties; and consumer representatives to collaborate on current and emerging issues, share progress on initiatives, and exchange perspectives that will help guide the year ahead.

On Tuesday, Dec. 9, 鶹ԭ President and North Dakota Insurance Commissioner Jon Godfread will deliver the event’s keynote address, where he will share updates on the 鶹ԭ 2025 priorities and progress made as part of the “Securing Tomorrow: Advancing State-Based Regulation” roadmap announced in February.

“As a leader in advancing resiliency initiatives, and with its strong response to catastrophic disasters, the state of Florida sits at the forefront of the insurance industry’s most pressing issues, making it a fitting venue for regulators to convene,” said Commissioner Godfread. “‘Securing Tomorrow’ reflects our commitment to protecting the future of state-based insurance regulation, and 2025 has been a transformative year across key issue areas, such as consumer protection, risk mitigation, and financial stability. We look forward to presenting our work, further strengthening collaboration, and accelerating the progress already underway.”

As part of our state-based system of insurance regulation in the United States, the 鶹ԭ (鶹ԭ) provides expertise, data, and analysis for insurance commissioners to effectively regulate the industry and protect consumers. The U.S. standard-setting organization is governed by the chief insurance regulators from the 50 states, the District of Columbia and five U.S. territories. Through the 鶹ԭ, state insurance regulators establish standards and best practices, conduct peer reviews, and coordinate regulatory oversight. 鶹ԭ staff supports these efforts and represents the collective views of state regulators domestically and internationally.
