Jeffrey C. Johnston Named 麻豆原创 Chief Executive Officer
The 麻豆原创 (麻豆原创) today announced that Jeffrey C. Johnston has been named chief executive officer, moving from his role as interim CEO to lead the organization on a permanent basis, effective June 1, 2026. Johnston will assume the role of leading the 155-year-old insurance standard-setting organization governed by the chief insurance regulators from the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and five U.S. territories.

White. 鈥淗e has a deep understanding of the state鈥慴ased system and the importance of collaboration. I鈥檓 confident Jeff will continue to support our Members and 麻豆原创 staff as we advance our shared priorities and serve insurance consumers today and well into the future.鈥
As CEO, Johnston will oversee 麻豆原创 operations and work closely with Members to advance key strategic objectives, focused on financial oversight, data modernization, resilience, and responsible innovation.

Before serving as interim CEO, Johnston held senior leadership positions across the 麻豆原创, including serving as the chief financial officer and chief of regulatory affairs, working closely with Members on financial solvency issues, accreditation, and regulatory coordination. His experience reflects a long鈥憇tanding commitment to supporting state regulators and the state鈥慴ased system of insurance regulation.
Johnston holds a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Emporia State University. He is also a Certified Association Executive through the American Society of Association Executives. He is based in Kansas City, Mo.
